Ed Townsend



Ed Townsend (April 16, 1929–August 13, 2003 in Fayetteville, Tennessee) was an American singer-songwriter known for the 1958 hit "For Your Love," which was later covered by Peaches & Herb. He also for co-wrote and co-produced Marvin Gaye's 1973 hit "Let's Get It On" along with three other songs on Gaye's highly successful Let's Get It On album.
