Eduard Dzhabeyevich Kokoity (Ossetian Кокойты Джабейы фырт Эдуард, Russian Эдуа́рд Джабе́евич Коко́йты, surname also rendered as Kokoyty or Kokoiti or in a Russified version as Kokoyev) is the current President of South Ossetia, a de facto (though internationally unrecognized) independent republic within Georgia.
