Eastern Fleet
The British Eastern Fleet (also known as the East Indies Fleet and the Far East Fleet) was a fleet of the Royal Navy during World War II and post war until 1971. It was formed by order of the Admiralty on 8th December 1941The British Empire and the Second World War, Ashley Jackson, p289 , from the ships of the China Station and the Far East Station, with its Headquarters in Singapore.
