Earl of Munster
The title of Earl of Munster was created twice: first in the Peerage of Ireland in 1789 as a subsidiary title of the Duke of Clarence and St Andrews, and then, after that title merged with the crown upon the accession of King William IV in 1830, in 1831 for the King's eldest illegitimate son. This creation became extinct in 2000 following the death of the 7th Earl.
