Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I of Constantinople
His All Holiness, Archbishop of Constantinople, New Rome and Ecumenical Patriarch, Bartholomew I (Greek: Η Αυτού Îειοτάτη Παναγιότης, Îż ΑĎχιεπίĎκοπος ΚωνĎταντινουπόλεως, ÎťÎας Ρώμης και Οικουμενικός ΠατĎιάĎχης, ΒαĎθολομαίος Α'), has been the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, and thus "first among equals" in the Eastern Orthodox Communion, since 2 November 1991.
