Egalitarianism
Egalitarianism (derived from the French word Ă©gal, meaning equal or level) is the moral doctrine that equality ought to prevail in society. Ultimately, it may refer to any belief that emphasizes some form of equality between morally-significant beings (usually meaning humans, but sometimes expanded to include animals as well).
