The Ferrocarril Trasandino Los Andes - Mendoza is a mountainous metre gauge rack railway from Los Andes to Mendoza, connecting the broad gauge (1676mm) railway networks of Chile and Argentina. The railway has been out of service since 1984, and had been partly dismantled.
