Hakīm Abol-Qāsem Ferdawsī Ṭūsī () (more commonly transliterated Ferdowsi-ye Tusi, also known as Firdawsi, Firdausi, Firdousi, Ferdosi or Ferdusi) (935–1020) is perhaps the most revered Persian poet. He was the author of the Shāhnāma, the national epic of Persia (modern Iran).
