Fibre Multi Object Spectrograph



Fibre Multi Object Spectrograph, or FMOS is a large spectrograph with a camera weighing nearly 2000kg and will be used in conjunction with the Subaru telescope on Mauna Kea in Hawaii to look at the light from 200 galaxies simultaniously to measure the rate at which the universe is expanding.
