First Encirclement Campaign



The First Encirclement Campaign () was a series of battles launched by the Chinese Nationalist Government that intended to annihilate the Chinese Red Army and to destroy the Jiangxi Soviet. It was later responded by the Communist's First Counter Encirclement Campaign (), in which the Red Army successfully defended their Soviet base in the southern Jiangxi against the Nationalist attacks from November 1930 to January 3, 1931.
