Fernmeldeturm NĂĽrnberg

The Fernmeldeturm NĂĽrnberg, the tallest structure in Bavaria, is the NĂĽrnberg telecommunication tower, also called the Nuernberger Ei (Egg of Nuremberg) because of its egg-shaped tower basket in 185 metres, is 292 metres high and was built between 1975 and 1977. The tower basket accommodates transmission mechanisms for FM and radio relay link and - unfortunately closed since 1991- a rotating restaurant and a prospect platform.
