Fastnet Rock
Fastnet Rock ( - Lonely Rock) () is a small clay-slate island with quartz veins and the most southerly point of the Republic of Ireland, 6.5 km southwest of Clear Island in County Cork, which is itself 8 miles (13 km) from the mainland.
