Fasnachts
Fastnachts or Fasnachts are a fatty doughnut-like treat served only on Fasnacht Day, also known as Fastnacht Day, Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday, and Ash Wednesday. Fastnachts were produced as a way to empty the pantry of fat and butter, which were forbidden during Lent.
