Fecal bacteriotherapy
Fecal bacteriotherapy, also known as fecal transfusion or fecal transplant, is a medical treatment in which bacteria from feces of a healthy person are transferred into the large bowel and rectum of a patient. It is an alternative treatment for patients with pseudomembranous colitis (caused by Clostridium difficile), Ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease.
