Farmshoring

Farmshoring is a term used to describe the shifting of employment from abroad into rural communities across the United States. It is conceptually similar to onshoring (also referred to as domestic outsourcing) except that farmshoring refers specifically to a shift from urban to rural; whereas onshoring or domestic outsourcing describes a “loss of positions previously considered insulated from foreign competition.
