George Strickland
George Bevan Strickland (born January 10, 1926 in New Orleans, Louisiana) is a former shortstop for the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Cleveland Indians, as well as a former manager for the Indians. He was signed by the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1943, but he remained in the minor leagues until his contract was picked up by the Boston Red Sox.
