Gadopentetate dimeglumine
Gadopentetate dimeglumine (Gd-DTPA) was the first paramagnetic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) contrast enhancer. Introduced in 1981, it has been used to assist imaging of blood vessels and the surrounding tissue by injection into the desired tissue.
