George Allan (antiquary)
George Allan (1736–21 July 1828), English antiquary and attorney at Darlington, was the author of several works relating to the history and antiquities of the county of Durham; he greatly aided W. Hutchinson in his History and Antiquities of the Country Palatine of Durham.
