Gelatinase



In biology and chemistry, gelatinase is an proteolytic enzyme that allows a living organism to hydrolyse gelatin into its sub-compounds (polypeptides, peptides, and aminoacids) that can cross the cell membrane and be used by the organism. It is a pepsin.
