Gas dynamic cold spray
The cold spray is a gas dynamic method of material coating, developed in the mid 1980s in Russia [1]. The solid state powder (1 – 50 micrometers in diameter) is accelerated in the supersonic gas jet to velocities up 500 - 1000 m/s.
