Gastrovascular cavity
Gastrovascular cavity, as the name indicates, functions in both digestion and the transport of nutrients to all parts of an animal body. Organisms belonging to two major phyla, the Cnidaria and the Platyhelminthes, possess gastrovascular cavities.
