Georgian-Ossetian conflict
Georgian-Ossetian Conflict refers to the inter-ethnic conflict in Georgia’s former autonomous region of South Ossetia, which evolved in 1989 and developed into a civil war in 1991-1992. Despite a declared ceasefire and numerous peace efforts, the conflict remains unresolved and large part of the region is still out of control of the central Georgian government.
