German 302nd Static Infantry Division
The 302nd Static Infantry Division was raised over the winter of 1940-1941 and stationed in northern France for occupation duties. It was serving as coastal defense at Dieppe during the Canadian amphibious raid of August 1942, which it turned back, inflicting severe losses upon the Allied forces.
