George Abbott



George Abbott (June 25, 1887—January 31, 1995) was a Broadway showman who became one of the most versatile and successful theatre craftsmen in the modern era of American stage. Abbott wrote, produced and directed some of the most notable Broadway plays, including The Pajama Game, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and Damn Yankees.
