GĂ©rard Mourou
GĂ©rard Mourou is a pioneer in the field of electrical engineering and lasers. He invented a technique called chirped pulse amplification, or CPA, which was later used to create ultrashort-pulse, very high-intensity (terawatt) laser pulses.
