Galicia class landing platform dock
The Galicia class built in Ferrol, are a class of Landing Platform Dock or LPD amphibious warfare ships with a large helicopter deck and a dock for large landing craft. The result of a joint initiative with the Netherlands and Spain and similar to the Royal Netherlands Navy Rotterdam (L800).
