Georges d'Amboise
Georges d'Amboise (Château de Chaumont 1460 — 1510), French cardinal styled Cardinal de Rouen from 1498 and minister of state, belonged to a noble family possessed of considerable influence: of his nine brothers, four were bishops. His father, Pierre d'Amboise, seigneur de Chaumont, was chamberlain to Charles VII and Louis XI and ambassador at Rome.
