Gérard Bouchard (December 26 1943 – ) is a historian, sociologist, and writer from Quebec, Canada, affiliated with the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi. Born in Jonquière, Quebec he obtained his Master's Degree in Sociology from Laval University in 1968 and later obtained his Ph.
