General Register Office for Scotland
The General Register Office for Scotland is a non-ministerial department of the Scottish Executive that administers the registration of births, deaths, marriages, divorces and adoptions in Scotland. It is also responsible for the statutes relating to the formalities of marriage and conduct of civil marriage in Scotland.
