George Koltanowski



George Koltanowski (September 17, 1903–February 5, 2000) was a Belgian chess player and promoter. Koltanowski set the world's blindfold record on September 20, 1937, in Edinburgh, by playing 34 chess games simultaneously while blindfolded, making headline news around the world.
