Gay rights in Afghanistan
While there has been some traditional tolerance especially for homosexuality, pederasty, fornication and sodomy. Adultery and pederasty has been a crime since the 1970s, and a capital crime in Afghanistan since the 1990s and the regime change has not had much impact on the legal status of Afghanistan's gay, lesbian, and bisexual citizens.
