George Jones (publisher)
George Jones (1811 – 1891) United States journalist who co-founded with Henry Jarvis Raymond the New-York Daily Times, now the New York Times, publishing its first issue on September 18, 1851. Before founding the New-York Daily Times Jones was an Albany banker.
