Göttingen (district)
Göttingen is a district in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is bounded by (from the north and clockwise) the districts of Northeim and Osterode, and by the states of Thuringia (district of Eichsfeld) and Hesse (districts of Werra-Meißner and Kassel).
