Haplodiploid sex-determination system

The Haplodiploid sex-determination system is a system that some Hymenopterans (bees, ants, and wasps), and coleopterans (bark beetles) use to determine the sex of their offspring, and preserve eusociality. In this system, there are no sex chromosomes.
