Hagar (Arabic هاجر; Hajar; Hebrew הָגָר "Stranger", Standard Hebrew Hagar, Tiberian Hebrew ) is an Egyptian-born handmaiden of Sarah, wife of Abraham. Her history is narrated in the Book of Genesis in the Torah (Hebrew Bible).
