HD DVD-RAM
HD DVD-RAM is the proposed successor to DVD-RAM for random access on optical media using phase-change principals. HD DVD-RAM will hold 20 gigabytes per layer instead of 15 gigabytes because of differences in recording methods used, yeilding a higher density disc.
