Hamilton Lyster Reed
Major General Hamilton Lyster Reed (VC, CB, CMG, Legion of Honor, 3rd Class (USA), Croix de Guerre (France)) (May 23, 1869 - March 7, 1931) was born in Dublin and was an Irish recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.
