Heimatfilmen
The term Heimatfilm (literal German translation: "home movie") refers to a genre of movies whose plots are based upon the principle of an "unspoiled world", and centered about love, friendship, family and non-urban life. Most of these play in the forested mountain regions of Bavaria (Germany), Austria, or Switzerland.
