Iglesia El Carmen
In 1855, one year after the city of Nueva San Salvador was founded, Colonel LeĂłn Castillo started the construction of a church dedicated to the Lady of El Carmen. LeĂłn Castillo had been active in armies under the command of General Francisco Morazan.
