Illawarra Steam Navigation Company

The Illawarra Steam Navigation Company serviced the south coast of New South Wales, Australia from the 1850s to the 1950s. Passengers travelled to and from Sydney with pigs and produce for company and it was known as the 'Pig and Whistle Line'; it was said that fleet ships would wait an hour for a pig but not a minute for a passenger.
