Indypendent
The Indypendent is the newspaper of the New York City] Independent Media Center a local branch of the world wide [[Indymedia] network. Founded in the fall of 2000, it has won numerous awards and has broken several local stories; at the same time, it has come under fire from within [[Indymedia and from segments the left more generally.
