Immaculate Rejection
The Immaculate Rejection is the nickname given to the improbable NFL play that preserved a Chicago Bears victory over the Green Bay Packers on November 7, 1999 at Lambeau Field, in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The name is a homage to an even more improbable play, the Immaculate Reception, which itself is a pun based on the name of the Immaculate Conception in Christianity.
