Individual Visit Scheme
The Individual Visit Scheme (; Cantonese in Hong Kong and Macau; in Mainland China) was begun on July 28, 2003, to allow travelers from Mainland China to visit Hong Kong and Macau on an individual basis. The tourism industry in Hong Kong and Macau benefited from the scheme as a result.
