Ibrahim Muteferrika
Ibrahim Muteferrika (1674-1742) was a Transylvanian-born Ottoman printer, the first Muslim to run a printing press with movable Arabic type. The press was operated in Istanbul, the capital of the Ottoman Empire, publishing its first book in 1729.
