Inland Sea, Gozo
The Inland Sea, sometimes called Qawra in Maltese, is a geological fault where probably the roof of a very large cave collapsed up to 100 metres so that a land-locked basin of seawater opened into the Mediterranean Sea. It communicates with it by an almost "gothic" arch.
