Induced gamma emission
In physics, induced gamma emission (IGE) refers to the process of fluorescent emission of gamma rays from excited nuclei, or from nuclear isomers. It is an analog of conventional fluorescence, which is defined in terms of photons of light and excited states of atoms or molecules.
