Inferior pharyngeal constrictor muscle



The Inferior pharyngeal constrictor, the thickest of the three constrictors, arises from the sides of the cricoid and thyroid cartilage. The components arising from the cricoid and thyroid cartilages are also known as cricopharyngeus and thyropharyngeus respectively.
