Immersed submanifold
In mathematics, in differential geometry, the image, say S'subset M, of a differentiable manifold S to another differentiable manifold M with respect to a differentiable mapping psi:Sto M may not be a submanifold. Locally, information gets lost unless the mapping psi is an immersion.
