Imam Husayn Shrine



The Shrine of Hussain ibn Ali (Arabic: مقام الامام حسين) is a holy place in Shi’ah Islam in the city of Karbala, Iraq. It is built on the spot where Hussain ibn Ali, the second grandson of Muhammad, is believed to have been martyred during the Battle of Karbala.
