Jamaican vomiting sickness



An acute vomiting and hypoglycemic disease caused by the consumption of the toxin hypoglycin in unripened fruit of the Ackee tree. In the human body, hypoglycin is metabolised to produce methylenecyclopropylacetyl-CoA (MCPA-CoA).
